I am neglectful doing something I have consistently done for eleven years. As is the practice, my dear friend Bev Eads delivered the 2024 book of Posts published on the Friends of Copey’ Blog. I received the
book several weeks ago and failed to extend my public thanks to Bev for her loyal and devoted contribution in support of the “Friends of Copey” project.
I praise Bev for providing me each year a nicely bound binder complete with copies of every Post I have published over the eleven years ending in December 2024.
These precious books provide clear documentation regarding our history of interest and support to the Copey Learning Center. Followers and supporters typically only see the electronic version of each Post when published.
Being an “old schooler” having these Posts in my hands, carrying them around the country, and sharing them during special presentations…is simply “a joy” too hard to describe.
I realize most “friends” have little interest in holding these or thumbing through the pages today. BUT, I envision years from now a familiy member or even a stranger may take time to read them and then will know this group of people made an amazing difference in the lives of those kids in Copey, Costa Rica. Thank you Bev and the rest of you who all make this work. Let’s make a toast to the future!
Today’s Quote!
Most of my Posts begin with a quote that captures my heart or speaks to me as it relates to this project. My inner voice sometimes says “share the quote” with “Friends” and hopefully the quote becomes similar to the small pebble hitting the pond. There is a ripple effect that spreads around the country. Today’s quote has my inner voice speaking to me and hopefully speaks to you because the quote speaks about us.

Outstanding work! We are making excellent progress towards our goal. Thank you early birds who have not delayed in
providing your support. I have several loyal supporters who near the deadline each year putting us across the finish line.
I predict our level of donations will exceed the $1,100.00 mark this time next week thereby putting us in a very good position to reach the goal by the deadline.
Some of you are not in the position to financially support us. Please continue your support by praying for our success as you have done for years. Prayers are the key to this effort. Thank you everyone.

We are also tracking the same pace as similar years. We are optimistic and grateful for the dual support provided. Since school has started, there are students already benefitting from your generosity. We will continue to be “possibilitarians” because this is who we are. This is how we got this far. We are shooting for the half way mark by next week.
Campaign Donation Guidelines
The methods available for donating have not changed since the first fundraising campaign in 2014. If you are planning to be a financial supporter this year, the two methods below have served us well and without any complications.
The Copey Learning Center’s PayPal can be used to make donations directly. Please access the PayPal system by clicking on….http://copeylearningcenter.org/. Find the PayPal logo in the upper right-hand corner of their homepage. To make certain the Copey Learning Center recognizes your donation and how it should be applied, indicate in the comment section on PayPal that the donation supports the “AGBSF” or the “EDSSF”.
The alternate method is to send me your donation directly. Make the check out to me (Arthur Broady). Once received, your donation will be paid to the same Learning Center PayPal system as in Method #1. I will enter your name and designate where it is to be applied per your directions. The PayPal system will issue me a receipt which I send to you as “proof” the donation has been submitted to the Learning Center in your name. Make your check out to Arthur Broady and send to:
