We Sow the Seeds of Joy!

“Blessings are the seeds of joy we sow; the more we share, the more happiness we harvest in our lives and the lives of others.” Anonymous

The Copey Learning Center is open, and all is going well. This is the season in which we sow our seeds. We will reap the blessings.

We welcome the couple who have come aboard to provide educational services at the center.

Thank you, Arthur and Stella! You are the answer to the prayers of many.

We, the “Friends of Copey”, are spread throughout the USA, with Friends also residing in several other countries. We have a big heart for the Copey community and have faith in the future of the young students with whom you have now become well acquainted.

Friends” number more than 100, and this number constantly fluctuates, as the group is 100% voluntary and requires no dues or membership fees.

Anne G. Broady Scholarship Fund (AGBSF)

Goal $1,800.00  Achieved  $1,125.00  Deadline   April 3, 2026

Since the fundraising campaign began, we have made wonderful progress. We have raised 62.5% of our goal and on pace to meet our deadline.

Please consider supporting the tuition scholarship support. We have students who are in need. Some students have begun school since our support has already been received by the Learning Center.

We are working to get up to 18 students supported if possible. The two methods listed below for making donations are working well since donors have successfully used both.

See the listed methods below.

Executive Director’s Salary Support (EDSS)

Goal $1,800.00  Achieved  $925.00  Deadline   April 17, 2026

We have made good progress with this campaign as it typically trails the progress for the scholarship campaign. We are currently at 37% of our goal. We encourage donors to keep this campaign in mind.

It is critical to have competent leadership support to maintain the level of educational quality we believe is essential for student suceess.

We have historically provided this support and we this outside support places this Learning Center in among a small group of similar private English based educational centers in Costa Rica with a history of sustainability and longevity. This the “glue” that keeps this important project focused on quality and success.

Campaign Donation Guidelines

The methods available for donating remain the same as prior years. The two methods below have served us well and without any complications.

The Copey Learning Center’s PayPal can be used to make donations directly. Please access the PayPal system by clicking:

http://copeylearningcenter.org/

Find the PayPal logo in the upper right-hand corner of their homepage. To make certain the Copey Learning Center recognizes your donation and how it should be applied, indicate in the comment section on PayPal that the donation supports the “AGBSF” or the “EDSS”. Also, send me a note regarding your donation. This allows me to keep track of our progress towards our goals.

The alternate method is to send me your donation directly. Make the check out to me (Arthur Broady). Your donation will be paid to the same Learning Center PayPal system as in Method #1. Once processed, the PayPal system will issue me a receipt which I send to you as “proof” the donation has been submitted in your name. Make your check out to Arthur Broady and send to:

Arthur Broady, 404 Birch Avenue, Richland, WA 99352

Contact me at 509-948-6416 if you have questions.

Important Reminder: If sending me your check, please DO NOT make the check out to the Copey Learning Center or “Friends of  Copey”. My bank will not allow me to deposit the check unless my name is on it.

If there is a special request pertaining to 501(c)3 and IRS, please contact me.
