Marching Forward!
We have outstanding news on our fundraising efforts. Once again “Friends” demonstrates the “giving from the heart” spirit we have come to expect.
Anne G. Broady Scholarship Fund
AGBSF Goal: $1,500.00 Actual: $1,200.00 Deadline: February 4, 2019
Last week, our Tracker reported our progress at 20% of the goal. This week our progress jumped upward to 80.0%. Outstanding!
A couple very generous and devoted donors helped us get beyond the $1,000.00 interim goal and our devoted annual donors are also adding to the cause.
Now, if you plan to make a donation, please do so soon. And, do not let this very positive report change your plans. Some of our optimism is based on some “promised donations”.
We set our minimum goal at $1,500.00 but all funds exceeding this goal will be used for additional scholarships and other uses for the good at the Copey Learning Center.
A quick word to those who are praying for our success…“keep praying…it is working”!
Executive Director Salary Support
EDSS Goal: $2,000.00 Actual: $1,000.00 Deadline: April 9, 2019
Similar to the AGBSF Goal, we experienced a major increase in the financial support for 
the Executive Director Salary Support fundraiser. Last week, not much had been raised. BUT, we have learned about being confident and patient. We do not panic!
The EDSS fundraiser typically starts slower and with a longer period set to achieve. “Friends” are becoming more understanding and accepting of the importance of competent leadership directing the daily operations of the Copey Learning Center. I am pleased. We are now at the 50% mark of our goal after only a couple of weeks….unprecedented!
We met this goal last year nearly a month ahead of schedule and we have the potential to break last year’s record at this pace. Thank You!
Other News To Ponder
Bev, Thank you for the outstanding job consolidating the 2018 “Friends of Copey” Posts. Bev is a genius at this and I am blessed each year with a complete notebook of all the Posts published to be added to all the other notebooks from 2014 to 2017.
Also, I received a large package of “pen pal” letters prepared by the students at Meadow Elementary School in Lehi, Utah. For newcomers, the students at this school collected 400 pounds of school supplies last year for the Copey Learning Center. You can click on the link to get the full story.
