2023 Non-Financial Scorecard Part II

Posting Statistics

The number of Posts published in 2023 totaled 28 including this Post.  In 2022, there were 33 Posts published during the year. The previous eight years recorded an annual average count of 53 Posts per year.

Numerous reasons explain the significant drop in published Posts over the past two years. The primary reasons are due to my increased commitments to support some local projects along with a significant change in family obligations and commitments.

The future holds promise for more frequent published Posts. Changes and adjustments are common with active living and also there are some greater expectations on the horizon at the Copey Learning Center. We are all eager to get started.

2023’s Big Five…

Each published Post is automatically tracked by country…not by state and not by individual. Friends receive each Post in their email. However, all Posts once published ends up in the public domain sitting there available for the world to see.

The top five countries reported by the tracking system in 2023 in order were: United States, Canada, China, Costa Rica, and the United Kingdom.

The top five countries over the past ten years has been: United States, Costa Rica, Canada, China, and Brazil. Other countries include India, Spain, Germany, Mexico, and France to name a few.

It has been interesting and unexplainable how China, the United Kingdom, and Brazil among many other countries consistently show up near the top each year in my tracking data. There are no known Friends or emails sent to these locations and numerous others with double-digit visits to our site.

In Memory Of Christine Broady Clark

This past year, we said goodbye to my aunt and dear Friend of the Copey Project. Christine Clark was a career educator and recognized the importance of providing a proper education to all regardless of age, race, and national origin. Her distinguished career in Prince George’s County, Maryland spanned over three decades. And, she never stopped teaching after retirement and even into her 90’s. Being the last survivor of my father’s siblings, she was very special to me.

Her passing in 2023 ended an amazing life on earth but it also began a new life in Heaven. Be certain that even in her new home, somebody is going be taught something from her.

I learned the real meaning of the term “having a heart of a servant” from Aunt Christine. She was a strong and prominent member of her church in Washington, D.C. and successfully garnered the love, respect, and admiration of its membership by demonstrating even to the end her total and complete devotion to her church and faith.

Aunt Christine sent this note to me on April 10th, 2016.

“Thank you for your service. I understand the love for children after spending more than thirty four years as an educator. The fun began as a classroom teacher, then Special Education roles, followed by assistant principal and other supervisory roles over a period of 34 years. My greatest joy was helping children learn.” Christine Broady Clark
