AGBSF Goal: $1,500.00 Actual: $1,180.00 Deadline: February 14, 2020
Claiming victory on February 14th allows us to announce our commitment to provide tuition assistance to a minimum of 15 students for 2020.
I also make a special appeal to “Friends” who have not previously donated to this campaign. I promise you will experience a little different feeling of involvement knowing your donation has actually served to put a student in the Copey Learning Center.

Spare Time?
When there is spare time, I go back and look at Posts issued during 2019 or further back. And, it is not too uncommon to read something I hardly remember writing. Most titles of Posts come about very spontaneously and the quotes used seem to show up without warning also. Always keep this in mind. I am never trying to write a literary masterpiece. The goal is to keep “Friends of Copey” informed and to always express my appreciation.
I want to share some favorite quotes from old Posts which seem to hit close to home. To me these are inspirational messages speaking to our hearts and to our souls. Here are only a few of my favorites:
- “Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” by Francis of Assisi
- “Joy is prayer; joy is strength: joy is love; joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.” By Mother Teresa
- “In my writing, as much as I could, I tried to find the good, and praise it.” By Alex Haley
- “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out.” By Robert Collier
We have the usual challenges in 2020 as we have had since 2014. Each year we have met the challenges and have earned our solid reputation of being faithful doers. We continue to be a very unique group standing alone in our purpose and commitment to help others.
One of the very first quotes used in this Blog was June 27, 2014. It reads…
